Time on the moor.
Beautiful pine forests and extensive mixed forests characterize the protected nature reserve Dahlener Heide, which covers more than 150 square meters. The starting point for a pleasant circular walk with the whole family is the state-approved spa town of Schmannewitz near the heath town of Dahlen. The center of the forest area, the hunter's oak, can be reached via well-marked trails. The memorial column here is one of the most famous hiking destinations in the Dahlener Heide and was erected in 1763 in memory of and tribute to the Elector of Saxony and King of Poland, Friedrich August. Along the Reudnitz pond chain, an idyllic nature reserve with a rich flora and fauna, you can discover many natural monuments.
